About the role

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Breaking Point Colony School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026 and continue until June 29, 2027.

Breaking Point Colony School is a 2 classroom school serving approximately 15 students in grades K-12. The school is located close to the banks of the beautiful Peace River, approximately 45 kms from the community of Manning, Alberta.

Qualifications

Experience working with children. Preference will be given to candidates with an Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.

Skills

Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill level, needs and abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students and families.

Requirements

Provide an acceptable current (within 6 months of application) Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Rate Of Pay

$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the and the Peace River School Division).
