Join a respected independent family-owned pharmacy in Gander, NL, located adjacent to a busy medical clinic with 3 physicians. We offer a patient-focused practice where relationships, professionalism, and quality care matter. Unlike big box pharmacies, our emphasis is healthcare. We specialize in prescription services, medical equipment, over-the-counter medications, and patient aids — without giftware, confectionary, lotto, or heavily scented retail products. You’ll join a supportive team consisting of 2 pharmacists (including pharmacist-owner), 1 registered pharmacy technician and 3 pharmacy assistants. We offer the stability and benefits of a large chain with the flexibility and appreciation of an independent pharmacy. Workflow is steady and manageable, with an excellent work/life balance: No evenings, Sundays or holidays, and only one 3-hour Saturday shift every third weekend. Experience is an asset, but aptitude and attitude matter most. \n
Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will play a key role in daily operations. You will; Maintain compliance with provincial and federal laws, CPNL standards, and third-party requirements Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered prescription dispensing Counsel patients on the proper and safe use of medication, potential side effects and interactions Support and expand clinical services, such as medication reviews, compliance packaging, injections and immunizations, and minor ailment prescribing Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care, Oversee pharmacy workflow, supporting technicians and assistants, and ensuring efficient operation.
Requirements Licensed and in good standing with CPNL, or eligible for licensure Injection certified Experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply Excellent clinical, communication and patient interaction skills Self-directed and able to work independently
Compensation $55-60 per hour, 35-40 hours per week 4 weeks paid vacation Store discount Dental and extended health plan (extensive coverage) available at start All CPNL and PANL fees paid directly (no need for reimbursement) Paid continuing education
