Personal Support Worker (PSW) - | Peterborough, ON
Are you a PSW feeling burned out in a facility setting?
At Home Instead, you will provide one-on-one home care, allowing you to slow down, focus on your client, and deliver the quality care you were trained to provide. This is a PSW job in home care where you are respected, supported, and given the time to truly make a difference.
We offer 15-40 hours per week, with longer visits and consistent client assignments.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting with activities of daily living, including personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and rise/retire routines) Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention using proper body mechanics Providing companionship and cognitive, social, and emotional support Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, while following food safety practices Providing medication reminders in accordance with care plans Promoting a safe home environment and monitoring changes in client condition Supporting families through respite care and maintaining client independence
Qualifications & Abilities
PSW certificate and caregiving experience A valid driver’s license and vehicle Favourable professional references Clear Vulnerable Sector Ability to take the initiative Collaborative team player Passion for providing high-quality, relationship-based care
