Emergency Medical Technician (Part-Time)-(Posting# 53365)
Description:
This position performs technical work driving an ambulance to rescue or transport the sick and injured, administers emergency medical care at the basic level, gathers medical history and relays to doctor or hospital, assists the EMT-Paramedic and EMT-Intermediate, and performs related tasks as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of NC EMT Basic credential. Obtain NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications within six months of hire. Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina. Please provide a photocopy of all certifications.
Compensation:
The salary rate for this position is $21.93 per hour. The person selected for this part-time position may work up to 24 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Application Requirements:
An official completed Halifax County Application for Employment (HR1107) and college transcripts are required to fully evaluate your qualifications for this position. The completed application and supplemental materials must be received by 5:00 p.m. on or before the closing date; postmarks will not be accepted. All portions on the application, as they relate to your background, must be fully completed. Applications may not refer to a resume’ or other enclosed documents (i.e. “see resume” or “see attached”), nor will these items be accepted in lieu of a completed application. We will be unable to consider incomplete submissions for this position. Unofficial transcripts (e.g. student copies) are acceptable for application purposes.
