We are a twelve-doctor, AAHA- and CVO-accredited veterinary hospital with a reputation that extends far beyond Barrie—clients travel to us from as far as Sudbury! Our hospital is a Cat Friendly Practice, and our team is trained in Safe Handling to ensure the best experience for our patients.
Community and compassion are at the heart of who we are. We proudly support The Global Alliance for Animals and People in Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean, partner with local rescues, and collect food for the Barrie Food Bank. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Boarding Assistant to join our dedicated team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings something new—and a chance to cuddle something fluffy—you’ll love this role!
About The Boarding Department
Our Boarding Department provides Doggy Daycare, Puppy Socials, and Overnight Care. We are passionate about creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for every guest. This department operates 365 days a year, so availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re Looking For Someone Who Brings
Experience in animal care and behaviour Strong customer service skills Confidence using technology, computer systems, and phones A positive attitude and team spirit
What You’ll Do
Provide exceptional care to pets and outstanding service to their families Maintain a clean and safe environment for all guests Engage pets in physical and mental enrichment activities Support the smooth operation of the Boarding Department with teamwork and initiative
