About the role
- Through lectures, seminars, and/or labs, provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Therapy programs.
- Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current dental principles, procedures and techniques and the principles of adult education.
- Develop and maintain course curriculum.
- Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
- Provide dental therapy services as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Dental Therapy Program.
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience, including at least (3) years serving as a subject matter expert in Dental Therapy, in accordance with the Dental Therapist scope of practice. Experience practicing as a dentist will be considered.
- Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental therapist in Saskatchewan.
- Related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion of a related degree).
- Training in educational theory and methodology.
- Effective communication skills.
- Effective instructional ability.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated valuing diversity.
